Like for instance, how lucky are we to both know Jeff? Such a great guy!

I'm so glad you liked the post. Best of luck in going to Yaddo next year!!

SianSian Griffithshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13852240706212834348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7199357201174254436.post-5057514724712174252013-03-25T17:48:28.758-04:002013-03-25T17:48:28.758-04:00Hi again, Robin. I have to admit to...Thanks so much for this entry. I have to admit to feeling that gut punch of jealousy at times, too. A few days ago, I received new that I didn't get the summer residency I applied for at Yaddo... a few other poet friends told me that they too had been rejected for this residency in other years; I know it's twisted, but that made me feel better! It's a struggle to rejoice with those who have, and also to know that my value as a poet doesn't depend on getting a residency.

The wonderful Jeff Newberry posted about your blog on his Facebook page, and I am so glad he did!

Best wishes from AnneAnne Higginshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13583292991932748552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7199357201174254436.post-26679434705382214942013-03-24T19:32:55.156-04:002013-03-24T19:32:55.156-04:00Thanks so much for commenting, Robin. I'll contact my publisher and see if that sounds good to them as well. I'm still painfully new to the business end of things, but it seems like too kind an offer to pass up!Sian Griffithshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13852240706212834348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7199357201174254436.post-74757272443888328842013-03-24T14:05:54.908-04:002013-03-24T14:05:54.908-04:00So love your post and I relate to all that you'...So love your post and I relate to all that you've shared. My second book (Eve's Song, a spiritual allegory) has been a five-year journey and I think "perseverance and a willingness to learn" sum up the journey well. I also relate to battling feelings of jealousy and/or competitiveness with other writers. With time, I've learned to send blessings (good thoughts) their way and see their victories as a beautiful thing. And, I also am an Idaho girl. All the best with your new book! And if you are looking for reviewers, I would love to be on the list.Robin Weidnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16052789449038163025noreply@blogger.com
